Protecting Children: Roller Candy Recall in South Florida
When families purchase candy for their children, they expect a delightful treat, not a potential hazard. The recent recall of several roller ball-style children’s candies has revealed the dangers posed by defective products. Children face life-threatening situations when a loose plastic piece within three brands of roller candies – Roller Ball Candy, Cocco Candy Rolling Candy, and Candy Dynamics Slime Licker Sour Rolling Candy – causes choking incidents. Incidents like these should have been prevented with better candy designs, and it is crucial for manufacturers to be held accountable for their negligence.
At Schlesinger Law Offices, P.A. in Florida, we are dedicated to seeking justice for those who have been harmed by defective roller candies. If you or your loved ones have experienced injuries or damages due to a recalled candy, you may be eligible for compensation. Our team of product liability attorneys is committed to helping you through the legal process, ensuring that your rights are protected, and advocating for fair compensation for the losses and suffering caused by this defective product.

Roller Candy Recall
The Roller Ball Candy recall involves legal action against manufacturers and distributors due to a serious safety concern. These candies contain a white plastic ball that poses a choking hazard to consumers, especially children. Holding manufacturers accountable for failing to provide sufficient warnings about the risks associated with the product is essential in seeking justice for those harmed by ingesting the loose plastic piece.
The recall was prompted by a harrowing incident in which a 7-year-old boy choked on the detached plastic ball while eating a Roller Ball Candy. The candy’s lack of proper warnings led to emergency surgery to remove the ball from the boy’s lungs, emphasizing the severe consequences of defective products like Roller Ball Candy.
Those who suffered injuries or damages from consuming the recalled candies, including parents or guardians of affected children, are eligible to file a claim.
In these product liability cases, experienced lawyers play a crucial role in investigating the incidents, gathering evidence, navigating legal complexities, and advocating for fair compensation.
Our attorneys at Schlesinger Law Offices, P.A., are dedicated to representing the victims and their families, ensuring manufacturers are held accountable, and promoting consumer safety through the pursuit of justice.
Cocco Candy Recall
Asaf Gida d/b/a Cocco Candy of Turkey, KGR Distribution Corporation of New Jersey, and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall of nearly 150,000 Cocco Candy Rolling Candy products. Much like the Roller Ball Candy that was recalled, the Cocco Candy Rolling Candy has a loose rolling ball inside it, which can dislodge and choke a child.
One child fatality has been reported to the CPSC; a 7-year-old girl in New York fatally choked when the rolling ball became trapped in her throat. If the product had been correctly made and advertised, this tragic death likely would have been prevented. It is important for families who have been struck by such tragedies to demand justice and hold candy manufacturers liable through civil claims and lawsuits.
Candy Dynamics Slime Licker Rolling Liquid Candy Recall
The CPSC recently announced that Candy Dynamics Slime Licker Rolling Liquid Candy has also been recalled for similar issues. The product uses a rolling ball to apply liquid candy for a child to lick, but the rolling applicator ball can come loose and create a significant choking hazard. At least two reports of the rolling ball becoming dislodged have been filed with the CPSC. However, no injuries or fatalities have been connected to Candy Dynamics Slimer Licker Rolling Liquid Candy. The recall is being made out of an abundance of caution.
