David Silverman

David Silverman has been trial attorney at Schlesinger Law Offices since 2015. He represents clients in wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury, product liability, mass tort, medical malpractice and negligent security cases.

David handles cases in Florida and across the nation. In July 2026, he served on the trial team that obtained a $5.605 million verdict for our client who suffered a permanent brain injury while trapped alone in an elevator for more than three hours.

He also served on the trial team that obtained a $6.525 million verdict, including punitive damages, on behalf of a young girl who was catastrophically injured on an amusement park ride.

David has helped secure more than $60 million in verdicts and settlements for our clients.  His experience spans a broad range of personal injury and wrongful death matters, including cases that involved:

U.S. District Judge Matthew F. Kennelly selected David as one of ten attorneys to help lead the nationwide litigation involving recalled Abbott infant formula. The committee helps manage the cases, gather evidence, work with experts, and make key decisions on behalf of the families bringing claims.  Schlesinger Law Offices was among the first firms to file cases arising from the recall. In July 2022, David spoke at HarrisMartin’s MDL Conference on Recalled Infant Formula and Gardasil. His presentation addressed the similarities and differences between the infant formula litigation and earlier food contamination cases.

David is admitted to practice in Florida, New Jersey, and before the U.S. District Courts for Florida’s Northern, Middle and Southern Districts.

Education and Personal Life

David is dedicated to helping people throughout Florida. Born and raised in Miami, he left South Florida for college before returning home to build his legal career. He attended the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University and earned a B.S. in Marketing from Touro College. He later received his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, where he was named to the Dean’s List four times.

During law school, David served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Sarah I. Zabel of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida and received the Summer 2014 Outstanding Intern Award.

David and his wife are raising their four children in South Florida. Outside the office, David collects sports cards, plays in poker tournaments, and stays active in local sports. Schlesinger Law Offices sponsors a softball team in South Florida’s HSL sports league, where David played first base for the 2026 championship team.
