Elana Goodman

Elana Goodman brings more than two decades of experience in personal injury litigation to Schlesinger Law Offices. Her practice focuses on representing plaintiffs in cases involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death arising from defective products, dangerous premises, and serious motor vehicle accidents. Elana is also a member of the Schlesinger Law Offices team litigating multi-district claims against Uber and Lyft related to sexual assaults committed by their drivers.

For the past seven years, Elana has devoted her practice to representing survivors of sexual abuse and assault in their pursuit of justice. She has pursued claims against educational institutions, hotels, spas, religious organizations, and other businesses for their failure to protect clients from sexual misconduct. Elana is known for her trauma-informed approach to these highly sensitive matters and works aggressively to hold negligent entities accountable for the profound harm caused by sexual abuse. A significant portion of her practice involves representing individuals who were sexually assaulted during massages at spa establishments or while under the care of medical professionals.

Before transitioning to plaintiff-side litigation, Elana was a partner at a South Florida law firm in its insurance defense division. Over the course of nearly 20 years, she litigated a wide range of civil matters, including claims involving sexual abuse and assault, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, product liability, construction defects, and inadequate security or supervision. During this time, her practice primarily involved representing hotels, resorts, spas, condominiums, and other premises owners—experience that now provides her with valuable insight when advocating for injured plaintiffs.

Elana is on the Executive Board of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association and an active member of the National Crime Victim Bar Association and Ms. Esquire professional networking organization. Elana is a certified Circuit Court mediator and AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
